The Stassen Insurance Agency in Woodstock, Illinois, had no Ethics Manual or Employee Handbook when I arrived on the scene. This communication problem was solved when I wrote the manuals which their attorneys reviewed.  Now the human relations officer can give these handbooks to new employees and go over everything in an orderly fashion, saving time-consuming, repetitive work. The employees can refer to the handbook to answer questions they forgot to ask or have trouble remembering. A real win-win situation!
